On Wednesday, September 30, 2009, of Adelphi, MD. Beloved husband of Carolyn Hayes; father of Oscar V. Pleasant, Jr., Tonya Pleasant, Douglas Scot Hayes and Desmond A. Hayes; grandfather of Anthony L. Jackson, Jr., Amara-Niani Jackson, Destiny Boone, and Taylor A. Hayes. Also survived by two brothers and two sisters. Relatives and friends may call at First United Methodist Church, 6201 Belcrest Road, Hyattsville, MD on Tuesday, October 6 from 10 to 11 a.m., where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Interment Maryland Veterans’ Cemetery, Cheltenham, MD.
