<p style="text-align: justify">Of Silver Spring, MD died at the age of 84 on Friday, May 31, 2013. He was born in Anthony, Kansas and graduated from Kansas State University. After serving in the Army for three years and obtaining a Master&#8217;s degree, he began working at the U.S. Patent &amp; Trademark Office in 1955. He retired in 1985 as a Supervisory Primary Examiner. He is survived by Marilyn, his wife of 61 years; daughters, Dianne Lauer and her husband Dave, Denise Gantz, Janet Wilson and her husband David; grandchildren, Ian and Brian Lauer, Joseph Heath III, and Nicole and Danielle Wilson; brothers Almus and wife Ruth, Ralph and wife Sandi. He is also survived by many relatives and friends. A Memorial Service will be held on June 30, 2013 at 2 p.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 9701 New Hampshire Ave., Silver Spring, MD 20903. The Interment will be held for family on July 1, 2013 at 11:30 a.m. at Garrison Forest Veterans Cemetery, Owings Mills, MD. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be mailed to NAWCC, Inc. <div style="text-align: justify">Born January 1, 1977, succumbed to cancer on Wednesday June 5, 2013 at Georgetown University Hospital, after a courageous but short battle. Beloved daughter of Aida Chaviano and Alberto Galeano; sister of Alberto Galeano, Jr. Also survived by cousins, aunts, and countless friends. Veronica was a life-long resident of Montgomery County, MD, who graduated from Magruder High School and the University of Maryland. Her first love was soccer, but she also enjoyed traveling, doing home improvement projects, D.C. sports, trying out new restaurants, playing softball, going to happy-hour with her co-workers, and spending time with her younger cousins and loved ones. She was taken too soon and will be sorely missed. A Memorial Mass will be held at St. Peter&#8217;s Church, 2900 Olney-Sandy Spring Road, Olney, MD, on Saturday June 15, at 11 a.m. Interment private.
