On Wednesday, January 27, 2010 of Leisure World, MD. Surrounded by loving family, peacefully entered his eternal reward. Beloved father of Michael P. Cook (Michelle Ashcraft) and Kristina L. Cook (Joseph Hodgson); loving grandfather of Brittany Marie, Jamie-Lee Ann, Riana Cook, James W. Oliver II and Dylan P. Hodgson; brother of Mary Margaret (Robert) Purdy and Elizabeth “Betsy” (James) McAveney; former husband of Susan Savoy. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD (Valet Parking), Monday, 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at Our Lady of Grace Church, 15661 Norbeck Blvd., Silver Spring on Tuesday, February 2, 2010 from 10:30 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment Cedar Hill Cemetery.
