Beloved husband of Elizabeth “Betty” Allen; father of Brenda Smith; Barbara (Jay) Allen Spicer, Terri (Jim) Abell, Sherri Leopard, and the late Brian L. Tapp; grandfather of Neal, Devin, Jenna, Cody, Dale, Reed, Bryce, Lauren and Dillon; great-grandfather of Brenden Smith; brother-in-law of William “Bucky” (Nancy) Lanham. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard, West, Silver Spring, MD, on Monday, January 11, from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. where service will be held Tuesday, January 12, at 11:00 a.m. Interment immediately following at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
